Road-tested in arenas around the world, the Wolfgang® Special is a purebred music-making machine, designed with stunning style, giant sound, and high-speed playability.
This model features a basswood body with an arched top, paired with a robust graphite-reinforced bolt-on quartersawn maple neck. The neck is carved and rolled to Eddie Van Halen's exact specifications, with a smooth hand-rubbed urethane finish for comfort. A 12"-16" compound-radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays ensures blazing-fast leads and effortless riffing. The spoke-wheel truss rod adjustment at the base of the neck makes setup quick and easy.
Loaded with dual direct-mount EVH® Wolfgang® Alnico 2 humbuckers , this guitar delivers articulate, dynamic tone with endless sustain. The EVH®-branded Floyd Rose® locking tremolo and locking nut provide tuning stability through the wildest pitch shifts, while the EVH® D-Tuna® allows instant drop-D tuning. Custom Bourns® low-friction volume and high-friction tone pots are tailored to Eddie's exacting standards for smooth swells and reliable control.
Finished in Polar White with black binding and hardware, the Wolfgang® Special is built for performance with a professional edge.
