We may use personal information to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful process, cooperate with law enforcement, enforce our agreements or policies, protect legal rights, participate in legal proceedings, maintain required records, and resolve disputes.

Mobile Application

The EGA Guitars mobile application may provide features including product browsing, checkout, wishlists, restock alerts, price-drop notifications, push notifications, and Sell Your Gear submissions. If you book a music lesson, your email address may be associated with the booked date and time so you can view it in the application and receive optional reminder notifications.

Music Lesson Recordings

Music lessons booked through EGA Guitars are recorded for quality assurance and instructor training purposes. Recordings are made using third-party video-conferencing software chosen by EGA Guitars and are not publicly accessible. If you purchase optional recording access at the time of booking, a link to your lesson's recording will be made available to you in the application for a limited time (currently seven days) after your lesson. Recordings may be accessed by EGA Guitars staff and your instructor for quality assurance and training purposes.

Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we may collect and process a device or application push-notification token and related technical information necessary to deliver notifications to your device.

Notifications may include:

  • Account information

  • Order information

  • Transaction updates

  • Restock notices

  • Price-drop alerts

  • New-product information

  • Promotional offers

  • EGA Guitars updates

  • Other communications you elect to receive

Push notifications are optional.

You may manage notification preferences within the application, where available, or through your device's operating-system settings.

Disabling promotional push notifications does not prevent us from sending necessary service, transaction, security, or account communications through other available methods.

Mobile Checkout and Payments

Purchases initiated through the EGA Guitars mobile application are completed using Shopify's hosted checkout and applicable payment providers.

Payment credentials entered through hosted checkout are provided directly to Shopify and/or the applicable payment provider and are not directly stored by the EGA Guitars mobile application.

Transaction-related information, including products purchased, order totals, payment status, shipping information, and order information, may be processed by EGA Guitars, Shopify, and applicable service providers.

Camera, Photo Library, and Sell Your Gear Submissions

If you use the Sell Your Gear feature, the application may request permission to access your device's camera and/or photo library so you can attach photographs required to submit an item for evaluation.

At least two photographs showing the front and back of the item are generally required to complete a Sell Your Gear submission.

Additional photographs, video, serial-number information, documentation, or other information may be requested when reasonably necessary to evaluate the item.

If you do not grant camera or photo-library access, you may be unable to complete a Sell Your Gear submission through the mobile application.

Information submitted through this feature may include:

  • Photographs of the item

  • Item category

  • Brand

  • Model

  • Serial number

  • Condition

  • Modifications

  • Repairs

  • Included accessories

  • Cases or gig bags

  • Certificates or documentation

  • Whether you wish to sell the item or trade toward another purchase

  • Your name

  • Email address

  • Telephone number

  • Other information voluntarily provided regarding the item

We use this information to evaluate submitted gear, communicate preliminary offers, request additional information, arrange shipment, verify ownership and authenticity, prevent fraud or theft, administer sales and trades, and provide customer support.

You may manage camera and photo-library permissions through your device's operating-system settings.

Disabling these permissions may prevent the Sell Your Gear feature or other photo-dependent features from functioning.

Preliminary Submissions and Seller Verification

Submitting photographs or requesting an initial evaluation does not, by itself, complete a sale or trade with EGA Guitars.

A customer requesting an initial evaluation generally does not need to provide government-issued identification merely to receive a preliminary evaluation.

If you choose to proceed with a proposed sale or trade, EGA Guitars may request additional seller-verification information before completing the transaction.

Such information may include:

  • Legal name

  • Mailing address

  • Telephone number

  • Date of birth

  • Government-issued identification

  • Identification number

  • Image or copy of identification

  • Signature

  • Ownership certification

  • Serial-number information

  • Other reasonably necessary transaction information
