Description

Road-tested in arenas around the world, the Wolfgang® Special is a purebred music-making machine, designed with stunning style, giant sound, and high-speed playability.

It features a basswood body with an arched top and a robust graphite-reinforced quartersawn maple neck. The neck is carved and rolled to Eddie Van Halen's exacting specifications and has a hand-rubbed satin urethane finish for fast, smooth play. Its 12"-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard hosts 22 jumbo frets with pearloid dot inlays, while truss rod adjustments are made easy with a spoke wheel at the neck base.

Dual flagship EVH® Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbuckers are direct-mounted for enhanced resonance and sustain, delivering articulate tones from heavy riffs to soaring leads. A dependable EVH-branded Floyd Rose® locking tremolo with D-Tuna® ensures precise tuning stability even with aggressive pitch shifts. Thoughtful controls include a treble-bleed-equipped 500K low-friction EVH Bourns® volume pot and a 250K high-friction tone pot to avoid accidental adjustments.
