Description
The G&L Tribute Series JB-2 takes the timeless formula of a classic dual single-coil bass and refines it with decades of Leo Fender's design evolution. Combining vintage-inspired tone with modern engineering improvements, the JB-2 delivers the familiar punch, growl, and articulation players love while offering enhanced sustain, resonance, and overall performance.
At the heart of the JB-2 are a pair of G&L Alnico V single-coil pickups designed under the direction of Paul Gagon. Inspired by extensive research into some of the most sought-after bass pickups of the early 1960s, these pickups capture the warmth, clarity, and character that made vintage bolt-on basses legendary while maintaining excellent consistency and reliability.
Beyond the pickups, the JB-2 incorporates Leo Fender's innovative Saddle-Lock™ bridge, which maximizes string energy transfer directly into the body for increased sustain and resonance. Combined with a comfortable hard-rock maple neck, medium C profile, and 12" fingerboard radius, the JB-2 offers a playing experience that blends classic feel with modern refinement.
