Description
Developed in collaboration with Eddie Van Halen, the MXR EVH 5150 Overdrive delivers the legendary high-gain sound of the EVH 5150 amplifier's Blue channel in a compact pedal. Featuring hand-adjusted multi-stage MOSFET circuitry, it produces rich tube-like saturation with exceptional touch sensitivity and the flexibility to cover everything from classic rock crunch to modern high-gain aggression.
A complete set of tone-shaping controls, including a passive 3-band EQ, allows you to precisely sculpt your sound for virtually any amplifier or speaker cabinet. The onboard Boost switch adds an extra 6dB of gain and compression for soaring leads, while the integrated Smart Gate® noise gate intelligently reduces unwanted noise without sacrificing sustain or articulation.
Built for both studio and stage, the EVH 5150 Overdrive features true hardwire bypass, rugged construction, and flexible power options, making it an ideal choice for players seeking Eddie Van Halen-inspired tones with modern versatility.
