Description
John Suhr has been refining the art of the modded S-style guitar alongside jazz fusion legend Scott Henderson since 1991, and the Scott Henderson Signature Series Classic S represents the culmination of more than three decades of collaboration. Built on a 2-piece alder body, this instrument delivers classic contours, balanced resonance, and unmistakable S-style feel.
A roasted maple neck carved into a comfortable "D" profile is paired with a flat 16" radius Indian rosewood fingerboard and 22 jumbo nickel frets, creating a fast, expressive playing surface designed for nuanced phrasing and technical mastery. Three Suhr V63+ single-coil pickups provide rich lows, focused mids, and shimmering highs, while Suhr's SSCII Silent Single Coil System ensures hum-free performance even in demanding live or studio environments.
Outfitted with a modified vintage 6-screw tremolo and Suhr locking tuners, the Scott Henderson Signature Classic S offers exceptional tuning stability and expressive control. It is a precision instrument built to be played relentlessly, honoring both vintage inspiration and modern craftsmanship.
