Description
John Suhr has been refining his modded S-style guitars for jazz fusion legend Scott Henderson since 1991, and the Scott Henderson Signature Series Classic S represents the culmination of more than three decades of collaboration. Combining vintage-inspired design with modern performance enhancements, this instrument delivers the feel, tone, and reliability demanded by one of the world's most respected guitarists.
Built around a 2-piece alder body, the Classic S offers balanced resonance and familiar contours, while its roasted maple neck is shaped into a comfortable "D" profile for effortless playability. The 16-inch-radius Indian rosewood fingerboard is outfitted with 22 jumbo nickel frets, providing a smooth playing surface that excels in both expressive lead work and intricate chordal passages.
Three Suhr V63 Plus single-coil pickups deliver a wide spectrum of classic S-style tones with rich mids and sparkling highs. Suhr's SSCII silent single-coil system eliminates unwanted hum without sacrificing authentic single-coil character, while the modified vintage 6-screw tremolo and locking tuners ensure dependable performance on stage and in the studio.
