Description
The G&L S-500 debuted in 1982 as Leo's own evolution of the traditional double-cutaway bolt-on guitar, with innovations he designed himself. Its pickups deliver a bright, sparkly top end and a robust bottom end without losing midrange focus. You'll find plenty of punch, but what's surprising is how glassy and detailed the tone becomes as you roll back the volume and bass controls. Extra pickup combinations add even more range, and in a pinch the neck and bridge pickups together do a convincing faux ASAT Special. Talk about versatile!
