Built on a high-tension hex core and wrapped with nickel-plated steel, these strings deliver the warm, punchy tone Power Wounds are known for, with powerful lows, clear highs, excellent sustain, and outstanding tuning stability.
The low B string features a taper/recessed winding design to improve sustain, clarity, intonation, and overall string-to-string balance. On G&L and Extra Long Taper sets, the taper begins approximately 1-7/8″ from the bottom of the ball end, providing the proper fit for bridges that require an extended taper length.
