A superb gateway into the time-honored Fender® family, the Squier® Affinity Series® Active Jazz Bass® V delivers legendary design and quintessential tone for today's aspiring bassist. This 5-string Jazz Bass® combines classic Fender-inspired styling with modern features that enhance comfort, versatility, and performance.
Designed with player-friendly refinements, it features a thin and lightweight poplar body alongside a slim and comfortable "C"-shaped maple neck. The maple fingerboard is adorned with retro black pearloid block inlays, while vintage-style open-gear tuning machines provide smooth and accurate tuning stability.
Loaded with dual Squier® Ceramic Noiseless™ Jazz Bass® pickups and powered by an active 9V 2-band preamp, this bass offers a wide range of punchy, articulate tones. The versatile control layout includes a master volume, blend control, and stacked bass/treble boost-cut EQ, making it ready to handle a variety of musical styles and performance situations.
